The website www.visit-prlekija.eu is run by the Prlekija Development Agency, Prleška razvojna agencija, GIZ, Prešernova ulica 2, SI-9240 Ljutomer (hereinafter also referred to as “the merchant”).
Our purpose and goal is to increase the availability of high-quality local products and strengthen sustainable local food self-sufficiency. That is why we have carefully selected the products available in our online store, most of which hold organic certificates.
The terms of use of this online store have been drawn up in accordance with the Republic of Slovenia Obligations Code (OZ), the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot), the Electronic Commerce Market Act (ZEPT), and the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-1), and cover the following areas:

Orders
You can shop and place orders in the online store 24 hours a day, every day of the year, except if prevented from doing so by technical difficulties.
Your order will be shipped within 4 business days of being placed and/or us receiving your payment.
Purchase of alcoholic products
Alcoholic products can only be purchased by persons over the age of 18. Any such purchases are subject to confirmation of one’s age upon entering the online store.
Purchase procedure
I. Product selection
Select the product you would like to order and click “Add to cart”. The system will notify you that the product has been successfully added to your shopping cart. If you would like to continue shopping, click “Continue shopping” on the left to return to the store.
To place your order, click “Checkout” on the right and the system will take you to your shopping cart.
II. Removing a product from your shopping cart
Locate the shopping cart button in the upper right corner of the screen. Click it to display the products in your shopping cart.
If you want to remove a product from your shopping cart, click the cart button and select “remove” (X). If you want to add another product, select "Continue shopping". Clicking this button will take you back to the online store.
III. Your shopping cart
To place your order, you must fill in the required fields.
1 Invoice information
To place your order, you will have to provide us with the required contact information (first name, last name, email address, postal address, city, postal code, and phone number), which we need to confirm and finalize your order and deliver the product. Please enter a valid phone number.
2 Delivery method
You can choose among the available types of delivery.
3 Payment method
You can choose among three different payment methods: cash on delivery, payment by proforma invoice, and credit card payment.
IV. Reviewing your order
The products you have added to your shopping cart while browsing the online store will be displayed. You can review the product price(s), the chosen delivery method, shipping costs, VAT amount, and total cost before finally placing your order.
V. Placing your order
After reviewing the delivery details, the selected payment method, and the contents of your shopping cart, confirm your order by clicking “Place order”. If the order has been successfully placed, the following text will appear on the screen: "Your order has been placed. Thank you for shopping with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon!"
We will send a confirmation message with all the purchase details to your email address.
VI. Order confirmation
After placing the order, you will receive a confirmation message at the email address provided during the ordering process, containing the details of your order and a notification that the order has been accepted and confirmed.
VII. Order change or cancellation before delivery
If, after placing the order, you wish to change anything about it or cancel it altogether, you can do so by writing to trgovina@visit-prlekija.eu in accordance with our Terms of Use.
Prices
All our prices are in euros and include VAT (value added tax). When making a purchase, the price valid at the time of order placement or payment confirmation is taken into account. Prices may change at any time without prior notice.
Despite our best efforts to ensure that pricing information is up-to-date and accurate, pricing errors may occur. In this case, or if the price of the product changes while your order is being processed, you will be able to make the purchase at the original price or cancel your order without any claim to damages or other types of compensation or payment. In such a case, we will endeavor to find a solution that is beneficial and acceptable to both parties.
Payment methods
The following payment methods are available:
- Payment by proforma invoice – You will receive a proforma invoice, automatically generated by the online store, at the email address provided at the time of purchase. Once the payment has been credited to our bank account, we will begin processing your order and ship the product to you within the specified time frame.
- Cash on delivery – You will receive an order confirmation notification at the email address provided at the time of purchase and pay in cash or by card to an authorized representative of the Post of Slovenia delivery service or at other designated delivery points. If cash on delivery is selected, you will be charged a handling fee of €1.80, which covers the cost of payment processing and transaction.
- Credit card payment – You will pay with a valid credit card at the end of the ordering process.
Shipping and delivery times
Your order will be shipped within four business days of being placed, or within four business days of us receiving your payment should you choose to pay by proforma invoice.
Our contractual delivery partner is the Post of Slovenia. The delivery process is determined by the contractual delivery partner. We reserve the right to choose another delivery service should this optimize the delivery process. We are not responsible for any delays in delivery caused by the delivery service.
Before attempting delivery, the delivery service will notify you about it by text message and/or email. You can also use their app to change the delivery method or specify a pickup location. If you are not at the specified address when the delivery is attempted, the delivery service will leave a note informing you that a package has arrived for you and where you can pick it up. If you do not pick up the package within 8 days of attempted delivery, it will be returned to sender. If you want your package to be resent, you will be charged a new delivery fee according to the then current price list.
Delivery costs are calculated before the order is placed and added to the final amount to be paid. Delivery costs are as follows:
- €2.80 incl. VAT for shipments up to 500 g
- €5.00 incl. VAT for shipments up to 5 kg
- €7.00 incl. VAT for shipments from 5 to 10 kg
- €8.40 incl. VAT for shipments over 10 kg
Should you order a product that cannot be shipped within the given timeframe due to unforeseeable circumstances, we will notify you of the situation and ask whether you might agree to an extension of the delivery deadline, switch products, or cancel the order altogether.
Meat and other perishable products are only shipped during the winter months. Shipments are not dispatched on days when delivery is not possible the following day (before weekends and holidays).
Sales contract
A sales contract between merchant and buyer is concluded the moment the order is confirmed by the merchant (and the buyer receives an electronic message confirming the status of said order). From that moment on, all prices and other conditions are fixed and apply to both merchant and buyer. The sales contract is stored in electronic form on the merchant’s server. Should the buyer require a copy of the contract, the merchant can send it to them by email or by any other means if so agreed, with the buyer covering any potential costs incurred. After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email with further details regarding order processing and delivery.
Withdrawal from sales contract and returns
In accordance with the provisions of the Republic of Slovenia Consumer Protection Act, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the sales contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to give any reason for it, and to return the goods received. The buyer must notify the merchant of any such withdrawal in writing at trgovina@visit-prlekija.eu, clearly specifying which purchase/contract they are withdrawing from and which products they wish to return. In the notice of withdrawal, the buyer must specify the bank account to which the purchase price is to be refunded. The costs of returning the product are covered by the buyer.
The product must be returned undamaged, in its original packaging and in the same quantity, unless the goods have been destroyed, damaged, lost, or their quantity has decreased through no fault of the buyer. The goods must be returned within 14 days to the address Prleška razvojna agencija, GIZ, Prešernova ulica 2, 9240 Ljutomer. The merchant may withhold any refund of payments rendered until the returned goods are received, or until the buyer provides proof that the goods have been sent back. In the event of withdrawal from contract, the purchase price will be refunded to the buyer within 14 days of the merchant receiving the returned product(s). The purchase price will be refunded to the bank account specified by the buyer in the notice of withdrawal from contract.
The right of return does not apply to goods that are perishable or have a short shelf life.
Claims
If the product does not have the characteristics necessary for normal use, or if it does not have the characteristics expressly promised by the seller, or if the seller has shipped the wrong products, in the wrong quantity, color, or with other deviations relative to the buyer’s order, the buyer may file a product claim.
The buyer may file a product claim within 8 days of purchase and request that the product be replaced with an identical, faultless product immediately, or, within the statutory period and under the relevant terms governing claims, assert claims under the provisions on liability for material defects in goods.
The buyer must notify the merchant of any product claims by e-mail at trgovina@visit-prlekija.eu or by calling +386 51 606 775 on working days between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Only such products may be exchanged that have not been opened, are not missing any contents, and show no other signs of having been opened.
The buyer may return the defective product by post at the merchant’s expense upon prior agreement, or by bringing the product in person to the merchant’s place of business.
Reporting damaged shipments
If the shipment received is physically damaged, the buyer must file a claim with the Post of Slovenia. To do this, take the shipment to the nearest post office in the same condition as you received it (without adding or removing anything) and fill out a claims form. Make sure to notify us of the damaged shipment and the submitted claim as well, so we can endeavor to help resolve the claim as soon as possible.
Limitation of liability
We make every effort to ensure that the information published on our website is up to date and accurate. However, individual articles, delivery times or prices may change so quickly that we are unable to update the information on the website in a timely manner. In such cases, we will notify the buyer of any changes and give them the option to withdraw from the sales contract or replace the ordered item with another one.
If a website user believes that the information displayed is incorrect, they can notify the merchant of any such potential error by email.
The merchant may withdraw from the contract only if a fundamental mistake is found (Article 46 of the Obligations Code). A mistake is deemed fundamental if it relates to the essential characteristics of the item or to circumstances that according to the custom in the store or according to the intention of the parties are deemed to be decisive, as otherwise the merchant would not have concluded the contract with such content. This includes obvious pricing errors. The merchant cannot be held accountable for occasional website downtime, potentially inaccurate information, or any damage caused by the use of inaccurate or incomplete information or the inability to access and use the information on this website. The photographs published may be of a purely illustrative nature and are not guaranteed to display the actual characteristics of a given product.
Complaints and disputes
The merchant complies with the applicable consumer protection legislation and strives to fulfill its obligation to establish an effective complaint handling system, which includes designating a person the buyer can contact by e-mail or phone in the event of problems. Complaints are to be submitted by email to trgovina@visit-prlekija.eu. The complaint handling process is confidential.
If buyer and merchant should be unable to mutually resolve their dispute, further dispute resolution shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent court.
Out-of-court dispute resolution
Pursuant to the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act, Regulation (EU) No. 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on online dispute resolution for consumer disputes, and pursuant to amendments to Regulation (EC) No. 2016/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC, the Prlekija Development Agency, hereby declares that it does not recognize any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider as competent to resolve any consumer disputes consumers may initiate in accordance with the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act.
