Route description

The Slovenian part of the Way of St. James is considered to be the Slovenian »Santiago de Compostela«. Pilgrims can get their pilgrimage documents stamped at the churches of St. James. The trail starts in Kobilje in Prekmurje and ends in Trieste. Pilgrims arrive in Prlekija via Tinek‘s cable ferry, which runs over the Mura at Mota, and then continue through Ljutomer, past the ponds, via Železne dveri to Jeruzalem, and on towards Ormož and Ptuj.
