Route description

The locals from Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici are rightly proud of their great compatriots Edvard Kocbek, Anton Korošec, Anton Trstenjak, the Kreft brothers and others. Farmers from the surrounding areas used to transport grain to the well-preserved windmill on the Stara Gora. From there, you can follow the panoramic route via Sovjak, characterised by its original farmhouse and vineyard architecture, to the idyllic Blaguš Lake and its beautiful glamping site. Through the valley of the Ščavnica River, you then climb to Kapelski Vrh and via Murščak and Selišči back to Sveti Jurij. This moderately demanding circular cycling route is full of climbs and descents, and after each one you discover a new surprise.
